Footwear Insight, working with Franklin Retail Solutions, mystery shopped and rated more than 100 of the top footwear specialty stores in the United States. Each store was graded on more than 15 criteria (beginning with the greeting and extending through the fitting process, selection, all the way through to checkout). Scores were processed and top stores are recognized in a special report, to be published in an upcoming issue of
Footwear Insight. This will be a provocative, highly read feature as stores see how they measured up against the criteria and the other top stores in the country.
Each store that achieves Gold Medal recognition will receive a special Window Decal, promotional signage and a social Media Toolkit recognizing its achievement so it can promote that honor to its consumers and its community.
Brands that support specialty and good customer service, this is a great in-store program offered turnkey by Footwear Insight and Franklin Retail Solutions.
Each Sponsoring Brand will receive:
• Recognition across platforms in all promotion material.
• Logo on all Award materials and Window Decals distributed to Winning Stores.
• Logo on special Customer Service Checklist available to all stores throughout 2017.
• The right to submit 15 names of stores to be mystery shopped. This is a great way to make sure your key accounts
• Sponsorship will be limited to Six Brands.
This program will be promoted throughout the year with full-page ads in Footwear Insight. The promotion will include a Customer Service Checklist that stores can download for all staffers, informing them of the criteria that will be used to evaluate their customer service. The stores will be shopped and rated.
Ads in Footwear Insight will encourage store to submit its name and location for evaluation.

• Regional Chains that have a significant shoe business.
• National chains are not eligible.
• Stores can nominate themselves.
• Stores can be nominated by industry colleagues.
• Stores can be nominated by sales reps from sponsoring companies.
• Will be national in scope and include at least 100 stores.
• Sponsors are featured in all ads in Footwear Insight promoting the Gold Medal Program.
• Sponsors get logo recognition on all Gold Medal materials (mystery shopping checklist, winners plaques and window decals).
• Recognition at Awards Ceremony.
• Promotional Ad Schedule (multi-page ad in March-April, Full Page Ads in May-June and Sept-October issues).
• Sponsors will also receive brand ads in three issues of their choice.
• One n/c upgrade to a spread for any of the ads.
